Children’s Class Uniforms
We have uniforms for all of our classes, which can all be purchased from us, together with other optional MKDC logo’ed items. Our shop is open in the office at the following times:
- Saturdays: 9:15am – 3:15pm
- Tuesdays: 9:30am – 11:15am and 4:15pm – 7:45pm
- Thursdays: 9:30am – 11:15am and 5:15pm – 7:45pm
Our receptionists can sometimes help with uniform purchases or orders when the office/shop isn’t open as long as they are not busy checking children into or out of their classes.
Uniform is not required for trial classes. We suggest comfortable, close fitting clothing suitable to move freely in, such as a leotard or top and leggings, together with soft soled shoes or bare feet. Skirts are not suitable unless worn over a leotard, shorts or leggings.
Baby Boppers and Lollipops
Blue skirted leotard with optional blue cross-over wrap and blue ankle warmers
OR leggings/jogging bottoms (plain black required for exams) with an MKDC logo t-shirt
Both with black jazz shoes or plimsolls.
Ballet
For all ballet classes long hair should be worn in a ballet bun – elastics, grips and nets can all be purchased in our shop.
Pre-school, Preparatory & Primary classes
Girls: Pink skirted leotard, pink ballet socks and pink ballet shoes, with optional pink cross-over wrap. Pink tights can be worn for class but socks are required for exams.
Boys: White T-Shirt, black shorts, white ankle socks and black Ballet shoes. Black leggings can be worn for class but shorts are required for exams.
Graded & Intermediate Classes
Girls: Black leotard, pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes, with optional pink or black cotton cross-over wrap. Pink ballet socks can be worn for class but tights are required for exams.
Boys: White T-Shirt, black shorts, white ankle socks and black Ballet shoes. Black leggings can be worn for class but shorts are required for exams.
Disco Freestyle, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Contemporary and Ballroom & Latin
MKDC logo t-shirt and leggings, shorts, or jogging bottoms with black jazz shoes or plimsolls.
Plain black leggings, shorts or jogging bottoms and plain black or white ankle socks are required for exams.
In addition, for Ballroom and Latin classes the correct shoes should be worn (please speak to the class teacher for information) and skirts (which are required for exams) can be worn over leggings etc for classes.
